NEW DELHI: Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) leader Mayawati has hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for criticizing her and her party. In a press conference, Mayawati said that one should get his own house in order before blaming others.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had said that the Congress reached out to the BSP leader, offering her the chief minister's post for contesting the assembly polls together, but she did not respond.

Mayawati has denied all these allegations. "There is no truth in these allegations. This is an attempt to defame the party. Years ago, Rajiv Gandhi attempted to defame the BSP. Now, his son is following the same path. Instead of worrying about other parties, Rahul Gandhi should think about his party. Rahul needs to examine what the Congress has done to counter the BJP and then talk about the BSP," Mayawati said.
