THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KV Thomas alleged that KPCC president K Sudhakaran had threatened him not to attend seminar at the CPM party congress and he attended the seminar because of it. "Do not think that you can force me to make a decision by keeping me at gunpoint. The Congress president is the one who should take action", KV Thomas said in Thiruvananthapuram.

Thomas clarified that the Congress High Command had not asked for an explanation regarding his participation in the seminar and he didn't violate discipline in this regard. "I have said everything I have to say on this subject. I have only done things that lies within the tradition of the Congress. I am still a Congressman. Attending the seminar does not mean otherwise. I'm not someone who raised my hand in support of K-Rail. But there is no need to blindly oppose anything. Also, it is not right to block development by looking at who is ruling", Thomas said.

Meanwhile, the KPCC has asked Sonia Gandhi to take action against KV Thomas for attending the seminar. The decision is left to the disciplinary committee. It has also decided to send a notice on Monday asking KV Thomas for an explanation.
