MUMBAI: The Delhi Capitals thrashed the Kolkata Knight Riders by 44 runs victory in the match on Saturday. Chasing a mammoth score of 216 runs, Delhi were bowled out for 171 in 19.4 overs. Venkatesh Iyer (18 off eight balls) gave Delhi a good start but on the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane's slowness affected Delhi. Shreyas Iyer (54 off 33 balls) and Nitish Rana (30 off 20 balls) put on 38 for the loss of two wickets in 4.4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav (four) and Khaleel Ahmed (three) put Kolkata ahead. Shardul Thakur took two wickets and Lalit Yadav one.

Earlier, openers Prithviraj Shah (51 off 29 balls) and David Warner (61 off 45 balls) gave the Delhi Capitals a good start. When Prithviraj Shah was dismissed in 8.4 overs, Delhi were 93 for one. Captain Rishabh (27 off 14 balls) and Akshar Patel (22 off 14 balls) and Shardul Thakur (29 off 11 balls) put Delhi ahead in the final overs.
