KOCHI: Three of a family committed suicide in Vennala. The dead have been identified as Girija, her daughter Rejitha and her husband Prasanth of Sreekala Road. Girija and Prasanth were found hanging and Rejitha died after consuming poison.

Rejitha’s minor children informed about the death to their neighbours via phone. The suicide note recovered mentioned financial crisis as the cause of death. There are reports that the family has a financial liability of more than one crore. The police have registered a case for unnatural death.
