NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge in connection with the National Herald case.
The case involves money laundering and is linked to the purchase of the Associated Journal, the publisher of the National Herald, for Rs 50 lakh. The main allegation is that the purchase was done to launder black money. Top Congress leaders including, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and son Rahul Gandhi, are involved in the case.
The ED had earlier issued a notice summoning Mallikarjun Kharge for questioning, following which he was questioned on Monday.
