THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said that he has no objection in government’s decision to give the charge of the public administration department to additional chief secretary K R Jyothilal again.
The governor said that he intended to give the message that things should go in a proper way. There is no vengeful attitude towards anybody.
Jyothilal, public administration secretary, lost his post following pressure tactics played by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan without signing the policy address speech. The Governor signed it only after shifting Jyothilal.
Jyothilal, secretary of public administration department, informed government’s dissent over the appointment of Hari S Kartha, a journalist and BJP state committee member, to the governor’s personal staff, through a letter.
The letter pointed that Raj Bhavan has not appointed people active in politics or loyal to political parties or party-affiliated organizations. The governor was even more irked as the letter was also leaked to the media from the government. It was then the governor decided not to sign the policy address speech.
