PATHANAMTHITTA: Questions and answers makes 'Raspi' happy. Raspi is a small robot made by tenth standard student Zidan (15). Zidan studies in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Adoor. Raspi will give answers quickly for any questions and is a friend to Zidan's friends at school. Raspi is a best friend to Zidan's siblings also.
He made the robot with the help of Youtube and other sites through progamming learnt for two years. Sidan used Python and CA programming. During lockdown, he invested more time for Raspi as classes were online then.The robot started talking after one year.
Raspi's life sustaining elements include a controlling motor, power bank, battery, microphone, speakers and mini-computers. The construction cost is Rs. 20,000. His parents also supported him.
Raspi works on a mini computer. When it gets a question through a mic, Raspi will search the net. The answer will then be given in the speaker. All of these are connected to the cable. The Raspberry Pi 4B Plus mini computer is used. Hence the name Raspi.
"Zidan's ability to make many things was recognized at a young age. From the age of nine he would make baby vehicles. We supported him when he told us about making a robot. " said Sherin, Sidan's mother
