KOLLAM: The accused in the case of attacking special branch sub inspector and his family in the middle of the road during a dispute in overtaking have been arrested. Jibin (24) of Puthur S N Puram Badel and Jinu John (24) of K J Bhavan at Puthur Thekkumpuram were the two arrested.

The incident happened at Puthur junction last Monday. Kundara special branch ASI Sugunan, his wife Preetha and son Amal Prasood were attacked. They were attacked for not giving side to the bike. The accused hit Amal on the head with a helmet and then kicked him who fell on the floor. A case has also been registered against Sugunan and Amal for unleashing violence in the road.
