THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state will receive rainfall on Friday as well. Isolated areas are likely to receive heavy rainfall. Following this, the Meteorological Department issued yellow alerts in four districts.
The yellow alert was issued in Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Malappuram and Palakkad districts. The rains will be caused by a cyclonic circulation over the southeastern Arabian Sea. Fishermen have been asked to be vigilant. The northern districts are likely to receive more rainfall. The rainfall is expected to decrease by tomorrow as the cyclonic circulation has started moving away from the coast of Kerala.
According to the Kerala Meteorological Department, strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph are expected in Kerala from April 14 to 18.
