PALAKKAD: Neither the BJP nor any of the pro-Sangh Parivar organizations are involved in the murder of the Popular Front activist. The murder is part of certain people’s plan to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the district, said BJP Palakkad district president K M Haridas. The Popular Front’s attempts to put the murder’s responsibility on the BJP cannot be accepted, he said. The SDPI is attempting to create a riot in the district. They are trying to place the blame on the BJP even before the police investigation into the incident gets completed, he alleged.

Meantime, the police have found that the car, which was used to knock down Subair, belonged to Sanjith, an RSS worker who was killed earlier. The car, identified as KL 11 AR 641, was used for murdering Subair. According to the police, the vehicle belonged to Sanjith, who was killed in a similar manner. The police have taken the vehicle into custody.

The incident took place by Friday afternoon around 1:30 pm. The assailants’ gang had killed Subair in front of his father. SDPI has alleged that the RSS is behind the murder. The assailants arrived in two cars, of which the car with the number KL 11 AR 641 had smashed Subair’s motorbike. After the killing, the gang left the car there and fled in another one. The police have taken the car into custody. Subair, who was severely injured, was rushed to a nearby hospital in an auto. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the district hospital.
