SRINAGAR: A BJP sarpanch (panchayat president) was killed in a terrorist attack in Kashmir. According to official sources, Manzoor Ahmed, a BJP leader and sarpanch, was attacked and shot by terrorists in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was shifted to a hospital, but could not be saved.

The attack took place at Goshbugh area of Pattan town in Baramulla district. The area has been surrounded to find the terrorists and the troops have intensified their search for the assailants, said the authorities.
