THANE: An elderly man shot dead his daughter-in-law for allegedly not serving him breakfast. The incident took place at 11.30 am on Thursday in Thane, Maharashtra. The woman suffered bullet injuries in her abdomen and died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital a day after the incident.

According to police, Kashinath Patil, the accused, got enraged when his daughter-in-law did not serve him breakfast along with tea. Following this, he pulled out a gun and shot the woman. The accused fled from the house soon after the incident.

Police have registered a murder case against the accused. They have intensified a search to find him.
