KOZHIKODE: Two children drowned in the Vilangad river on Saturday after being swept away by the strong currents. The deceased have been identified as Hridwin (22) and Ashmil (14).

Three persons were swept away by strong currents in the river. Among them, Hridya, sister of deceased Hridwin, was rescued. Hridwin and his family had come from Bangalore to celebrate Easter in Kozhikode.
