THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan reacted to the two murders that took place in Palakkad district within 24 hours. Kodiyeri alleged that it was a planned attempt to turn Palakkad district into a riot ground. Kodiyeri said that those involved in the incident were blaming the police.

Kodiyeri said that the LDF would take initiative to restore peace in the district. Meanwhile, six people have been arrested in connection with the murder of RSS leader Srinivasan today. Three people were in the vehicle when the murder occurred. The BJP alleged that what happened to the police was a serious omission. The BJP said that the victims were innocent party workers.
