PALAKKAD: The loss of two lives in 24 hours as the result of a political feud that has challenged the peaceful life in Kerala. Following this, the city of Palakkad came under the control of the police to prevent the spread of violence. A week-long prohibitory ordes was imposed in the district.
Popular Front Area President Subair (45) was hacked to death after hitting his bike with a car at around 1.30 pm on Friday after prayer. Sreenivasan, 45, a former Shareerik Shikshak Pramukhof the RSS, was hacked to death. The incident shows that there was no precaution on the part of the police. In Alappuzha, four months ago, SDPI state secretary K.S. Shan and OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjith lost their lives.
Four people have been taken into custody in connection with Subair's murder. No arrests have been made in connection with Sreenivasan's murder. Subair is the son of Aboobacker, a native of Kuppiyodu in Para Elappully.

Sreenivasan is the son of Anantha Krishnan and Indrani of Arappath Veedu in Moothanthara.
His body is at the district hospital. Funeral will take place after the postmortem today.
His wife Gopika is a teacher at the Karnakiyamman HSS. Daughter: Navaneetha (seventh-grade student, Lions School). Siblings: Selvaraj and Prasad.
