KOTTAYAM: A girl died after falling from the 12th floor of her flat at Muttambalam in the district. She has been identified as Reya (15), daughter of John Tenny Kurien and Shilpa, residents of 12 B of Skyline Exotica in Muttambalam. The incident happened last night at 10.15 pm. She was a tenth standard student of Pallikoodam School.

The statements of her parents and relatives will be taken today. The post mortem will be held at Kottayam Medical College. The police have registered a case of unnatural death.

A security guard came rushing after hearing a noise and saw the girl lying down. He immediately informed the police. The control room police rushed the girl to the district hospital.

The girl had died by then. Her father is in the IT sector in USA. They were in US earlier. The girl was staying with her mother in the flat. She has a sister also.
