THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan has come down heavily against the government in connection with Palakkad murders. He blamed that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's actions are the reason for murder.
Satheesan said that the government's silence on the incident is appalling and that the it could not stop the communal forces. "Communal forces have infiltrated the police. The killings were precisely planned and carried out. It is the failure of intelligence to prevent such moves. Intelligence knows nothing. What is the point of such an intelligence system?", he asked.
"Palakkad murders was similar to that of the murders in Alappuzha. It was not due to sudden provocation. There was an attempt for communal polarization. If the government does not try to stop it, the opposition will take responsibility. The opposition will launch a strong campaign among the people. The people cannot be left in such danger", Satheesan said.
