PALAKKAD: A woman, the owner of the bike which was used by the assailants to kill RSS activist Sreenivasan has been questioned. She said that only RC was in her name and didn't know who was using the vehicle. The interrogation was led by the Narcotics Cell DYSP.

Meanwhile, Srinivasan's body was cremated after a public homage at Moothanthara Kannaki Nagar School. He was cremated at Karukudi Cemetery which is one kilometre from his house. Leaders including BJP state chief K Surendran, P K Krishnadas, M T Ramesh, Sandeep Warrier paid their last respects.

AGP Vijay Sakhare said the two political murders that happened in Palakkad the other day were a planned one. Clear indications have been received about the killers in both the cases. He said the murders were committed after a clear conspiracy. The investigation will be completed without any lapse. The ADGP said the case is being investigated by five teams.

The FIR of the police said the murder of RSS activist Sreenivasan was due to political animosity. Sreenivasan's murder was in retaliation for the killing of Popular Front leader Subair. The accused had come with the intention of killing, the FIR said.
