AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in his homeland Gujarat on a three-day visit, on Monday. He will attend programmes in Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Jamnagar and Dahod. The prime minister’s visit is aimed at the inauguration of various development projects ahead of the state assembly polls later this year.

Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), will also join Modi in his Gujarat visit. Ghebreyesus, who will arrive in Rajkot on Monday, will join the prime minister on Tuesday in Jamnagar for laying the foundation stone of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM). GCTM will be the first global centre for traditional medicines across the world.

Tedros Ghebreyesus will also attend the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. The summit, which will be inaugurated by the prime minister, shall witness the presence of around 90 eminent speakers.
