CHANDIGARH: Several people around us spend lakhs to buy fancy numbers for their vehicles. However, very few people tend to buy a fancy number that is costlier than their vehicle. Now, a man named Brij Mohan has surprised many by spending an amount that is twenty times the price of his vehicle to buy a fancy number.

Chandigarh native Brij Mohan spent a whopping Rs 15.44 lakh to buy the fancy number CH CJ 0001 for his scooter. Interestingly, his scooter cost him just Rs 71,000. Brij Mohan bought this fancy number in an online auction of fancy numbers conducted by the Chandigarh Registering and Licensing Authority.

Speaking to the media, Brij Mohan said that this was his first fancy number and that he use the same number for the car that he will buy in the future.
