PALAKKAD: BJP leaders have boycotted the all-party meeting called in Palakkad following the twin murders that took place in the district. BJP leader C Krishnakumar, who alleged that the peace efforts made by the district administration were a farce, added that no all-party meeting was called when BJP workers were killed in the district.

The police are yet to arrest all the accused in the Sanjith and Srinivasan murder cases. The BJP alleged that two types of justice are being implemented. The leaders said they were not satisfied with the proceedings and that the police investigation was not enough. Meanwhile, the meeting witnessed a dispute between Minister K Krishnankutty and NN Krishnadas, a CPM representative.

Minister K Krishnankutty, who denied reports of a dispute during the meeting, said that the BJP leaders had arrived at the all-party meeting with an intention to boycott the meeting. He said the attack was of a terrorist nature. The minister said the police would take uncompromising and relentless action to prevent such incidents from happening again and the aim was to allay the fears of the people.
