PALAKKAD: ADGP Vijay Sakhare on Monday said that the police had identified all the culprits in the political killings that rocked the state. He also said that the police will soon arrest more culprits in the twin murders. While SDPI-Popular Front activists were the culprits in one case, BJP-RSS activists were the accused in the other. The police have identified the absconding accused and their hiding places. Investigations are underway into those who conspired to commit the murder and those who provided vehicles and weapons to the accused.
Three people are currently in police custody in connection with the Subair murder case. It is learned that Ramesh, Saravanan and Arumughan, who were directly involved in the incident, have been taken into custody by the Kasaba police. Their arrest may be recorded today.
The accused escaped from the spot in a car rented by Ramesh. Ramesh rented the car owned by Kripesh from Aliyar. The accused knocked down Subar using the car which belonged to slain RSS activist Sanjith. After hacking Subair to death, the accused escaped from the spot in the car rented by Ramesh. The car was found abandoned in Kanjikode that evening.
Police have recovered some CCTV footage of the suspects from Kanchikode. The visual shows three persons walking along the national highway after abandoning the car on the side of the road.
Police have identified the six persons who were involved in the murder case of RSS worker Sreenivasan. They also took to custody and questioned the brother of the person who was directly involved in the murder. Police are checking the mobile phone details of several people to nab the culprits.
