KOCHI: The high court will pass the verdict on Dileep's plea in the case of conspiracy to kill the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. The verdict will be pronounced by a bench led by Justice Siyad Rahman at 1.45 pm. If the case is cancelled, it will be a breather for Dileep and will be a setback for the investigation team.
Dileep wants the case to be handed over to the CBI if the case is not dismissed. Dileep is the first accused in the case. His brother Anoop, brother-in-law T N Suraj, relative Appu, friend Baiju Chengamanad, hotelier in Aluva Sarath and cyber expert Sai Sankar are the other accused.
Meantime, Anoop and Suraj will be questioned today in the case of attacking the actress. The investigating officials had issued notice to the two to appear at the Aluva Police Club at 10 am.
The high court will also pronounce the verdict on the plea filed by the prosecution seeking more time on further probe. The court allowed time till April 15. The government said more time is needed to investigate and collect evidence.
