beast

CHENNAI: ‘Beast’ is a movie that was much awaited by the fans of Tamil Superstar Vijay. However, the film has disappointed all film lovers. The movie which was expected to rock the theatres, failed to make an impact. With the arrival of Yash’s KGF 2, Beast’s sheen has faded.

Numerous people have criticized portraying the same story in various forms. It has been earlier alleged that the story of Vijay's films is always the same and only the circumstances change. Despite bad comments and reviews, the movie continues to run in theatres with the help of Vijay fans. Yet, many have said bad comments about the movie. Those who openly say bad reviews are roasted by fans on social media as well.

However, fans do not seem to have the courage to attack the person who made the latest bad comment about the film. Superstar Vijay’ father, S A Chandrasekhar, himself has expressed bad opinion about the film. Beast’s screenplay and direction have not been able to keep up with the standards, he said. “New generation directors give one or two good films but when they get a chance to direct a big hero, they become lethargic and think that the actor's stardom will make the movie a successful one”, he added.

“I enjoyed 'Beast' till the 'Arabic Kuthu' song sequence but the film wasn't engaging after that point. The film relies only on the star power of Vijay but falls short in writing and execution. Filmmakers should do their movies in their own style but they can include some necessary entertainment elements in their works comfortably. Beast will do well at the box office but it wasn't satisfying”, he said.

‘Beast’ directed by Nelson had hit the theatres on April 13. The film has been produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures and stars Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan and Shine Tom Chacko in lead roles.
