KOCHI: Soon after rejecting actor Dileeps' petition to quash the probe into the murder conspiracy case, the High Court on Tuesday extended the time for further investigation in the actress assault case. The single bench of the high court has allowed the probe team another month and a half to complete the further probe in the case.

The probe team should keep the investigation details confidential. It should not share information with the media. The DGP should ensure this, the order said. The verdict was issued by Justice Siyad Rahman. The court had earlier directed that the probe be completed by April 14.

The High Court also granted an interim order on the plea of ​​Suraj, one of the accused, seeking a stay on the media trial. The court banned the media from reporting the news for three weeks.
