BHOPAL: A mimicry artist was arrested for mimicking Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The incident took place in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Mimicry artist Adil Ali was accused of mocking Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

The police arrested Adil Ali following the release of a video that showed him imitating the Prime Minister. The police alleged that the mimicry artist had also made some obscene remarks against the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister.

Adil Ali has been charged under IPC sections 153 (wantonly giving provocation, with intent to cause riot) and 294 (obscene acts and songs). The police told reporters that the case was registered against the mimicry artist for making fun of the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister.
