THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The indefinite relay hunger strike organized by a pro-government organization in front of the Vaidyuthi Bhavan demanding the withdrawal of disciplinary action against the Officers' Association leaders was abruptly stopped. Later, at 11 am ,yesterday the Minister of Electricity, K.K. Krishnankutty called for a discussion.

The KSEB management has stated that action will be taken against all the officers who took part in the power outage in violation of the ban and that they will have to take action against dies non from April 5 to yesterday as indicated in the warning given to the organization. The management said that the vigilance team had identified 18 people who had trespassed on the KSEB board room during the half-day Satyagraha on April 5 and disrupted the meeting, based on video footage and would take disciplinary action against them. The action suggested by Chief Vigilance Officer will be taken.This also a set back to the struggle. The only hope of the protesters is their discussion with the minister today.
