MALAPPURAM: The match between Meghalaya and Kerala in the Santosh Trophy championship ends in a draw. At the end of the match both teams scored two goals each. Kerala took the first lead in the 17th minute. Meghalaya equalized in the 40th minute. Meghalaya took the lead in the 55th minute but the lead lasted only three minutes.

In the 49th minute, Jijo Joseph, the captain of the Kerala team, missed the penalty received for knocking Jesse out of the box. Mohammad Safnad and Mohammad Shaheef scored for Kerala. Kynsaibor Lhuid and Figo Syndai scored for Meghalaya. This is Syndai's third goal in the championship. Kerala tops Group A with seven points after two wins and one draw from three matches. Meghalaya is second with four points from two matches with one win and one draw. Kerala will have to wait another match to qualify for the semi-finals. Kerala's last match is against Punjab on Friday.
