KOCHI: The special court in Kochi will consider the plea seeking to cancel the bail granted to actor Dileep in the case of attacking the actress today. The crime branch claimed that Dileep had violated the bail conditions. The plea also stated that there is evidence for the actor trying to influence the witnesses and destroy evidence.

The actress was abducted and assaulted on the night of February 17 in 2017. Dileep was arrested in July and was in remand for 85 days. The high court granted him bail on the condition that he should not influence the case in any way.

The high court had the other day directed not to give any information of the pleas and affidavits given to the court, to anybody including the media. It was directed in the order granting one and a half months more time for further probe. Information in connection with the investigation should be confidential. This should be confirmed by the prosecution director general. The court in the order said directions are given after noticing that information in the plea filed by the investigating team seeking more time for further probe was obtained by the media.
