PALAKKAD: Two more people have been taken into custody in connection with the murder of RSS leader Sreenivasan. It is learned that those involved in the conspiracy are those taken into custody. Indications are that a scooter used by the accused for the attack and an auto used to bring weapons were found. The arrest of the two is likely to be recorded today.

Four SDPI and Popular Front activists were arrested the other day for allegedly aiding the accused. They summoned the killers after watching the move of Sreenivasan.

The Town South police arrested natives of Kalpathy in Palakkad--Mohammad Bilal (22), Mohammad Rizwan (20), Riyasuddin (35) of Sanghuvaram and Sahad (22) of Puthupparyaram Industrial Estate. Meantime, those involved in the crime directly has not been arrested so far. There are 16 accused in the case.

It was Mohammad Rizwan who delivered the killers' mobiles and other items to their homes. Sahad took part in the conspiracy. Bilal and Riyazuddin were in the place to help the killers’ hours before they arrived. The police have received visuals of the two travelling through the city several times to understand Sreenivasan's movements. Sreenivasan used to open his shop after 11 am as part of his father's treatment. When Srinivasan arrived, they summoned the killer group. They also paved the way for the escape of the accused. ADGP Vijay Sakhare said more are involved in the conspiracy and more accused have been identified.
