SRINAGAR: Six terrorists, including a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, were killed in encounters that took place in three places in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorist attack took place two days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Two soldiers were killed in the attack. Security forces have recovered weapons in the areas.

The clashes took place in Sunjwan, Baramulla and Jammu. The clashes that started on Thursday morning in Baramulla are still going on.

On Friday morning, the militants attacked a bus carrying 15 CISF personnel near Chaddha army camp in Jammu. An assistant Sub-Inspector was killed in the attack. Four people were injured. It is learned that the terrorists were targeting a Pulwama-style attack. As the soldiers retaliated, the terrorists fled. The search for the militants is going on.

In another incident, a soldier was killed in a clash between security forces and terrorists in Sunjwan, Jammu. Two terrorists were killed.

Four militants, including Yousuf Kantroo, were killed in a clash in Malwah area in Baramulla on Thursday. Three soldiers and a local were injured.
