KOZHIKODE: A complaint was lodged that a KSEB employee was assaulted by a landlord in the office for removing fuse . Ramesan was attacked in his office in Puthupadi, Kozhikode. The incident took place around 5.30 pm yesterday.
Nahas, a native of Elokkara, came to the KSEB office saying that his power supply was cut off without warning and quarrelled with the senior superintendent . According to the complaint, Nahas has attacked Ramesan, who was standing outside, on his way back. Ramesan then lodged a complaint with the Thamarassery police and a case was registered against Nahas. Ramesan says Nahas after beating him had returned to the office with more people and created an atmosphere of terror. Activists of KSEB Workers Union CITU staged a protest at the incident. CCTV footage of the attack has been released.
Nahas, meanwhile, complained that officials and staff insulted him for questioning the power outage without warning. The dispute was also caused as the official's requested to pay the bill online as it was too late to pay the bill. According to the complaint, Nahas was attacked by the superintendent and his staff.
