John Paul was a person who always liked to tell and hear stories. He has said in many interviews that discussions, on all the issues under the world, were regular in his friend circle. They have even discussed about death.
It was years ago. Bharathan, Kalamandalam Hyderali, Pavithran and John Paul were sitting together talking about many different topics. Suddenly, a question surfaced, ‘What is the colour of death?’. Pavithran said that it will be brown in colour. Hyder Ali said that it would be in the color of an ‘atta vilakku’ (lamp).
However, John Paul said that he could not say for sure because he was not dead yet. But to everyone's surprise, Bharathan said that death could be light blue in colour. He gave an interesting reason as well. When we die, we all go up into the sky, right? If we have to blend in, then we need a colour similar to the sky, don’t we? At the end of that discussion, all of us took a decision together.
The one who dies first, should check for any telepathy counter up there and immediately message the rest of us about death’s colour. Years later, John Paul said that there was no telepathy counter up there, as all three of his friends are dead already and he has not yet received any message.
