THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rains in the state for five days. Following this, the IMD has issued yellow alerts in seven districts

A yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad districts. The IMD has forecasted isolated heavy rains in these districts. Heavy rainfall is defined as a rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
