KANNUR: The investigating officials suspect RSS activist Nijildas arrested in connection with the murder of CPM activist Punnol Haridas, to have a direct involvement in the crime. He needs to be taken into custody and questioned in detail. Police said the investigation would be completed if two more people were arrested in the case.

Meantime, people who hurled bomb at the house where Nijildas was hiding, has not been nabbed. He was taken into custody from the house of Prasanth which is near the house of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Prasanth is in the Gulf. His wife P M Reshma, a teacher of Punnol Amritha Vidyalaya, rented the house to him.

Police surrounded the house and arrested him Friday early morning. Reshma was also arrested then. Bombs were hurled soon after this. The miscreants damaged the house also. The Thalassery CJM Court had granted her bail yesterday.
