PALAKKAD: Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of RSS leader Sreenivasan. Iqbal, directly involved in the murder and Fayaz involved in the conspiracy were the two arrested. IG Ashok Yadav said he had received accurate information about the five other members of the gang.

The prohibitory orders imposed in Palakkad in the wake of the serial killings will continue till April 24. It was clamped first on April 16th. Five or more people are not allowed to congregate in public places as a result of the orders. Meetings, demonstrations and processions in public places are also prohibited. However, the ban does not apply to essential services and law enforcement agencies.

Two days ago four SDPI and Popular Front activists were arrested for aiding and abetting the murder of Srinivasan. The Town South police arrested Mohammad Bilal (22), Mohammad Rizwan (20), Riyasuddin (35) and Sahad (22). There are 16 accused in the case.
