THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of expanding the e-health system, online OP facility has been introduced in 402 government hospitals in the state and will soon be made available in 150 more hospitals, said Health Minister Veena George. It will be implemented in a phased manner in all hospitals. In 2022-23, the facility will be implemented in 200 more hospitals as well. The aim is to provide services to one lakh people daily.
Since the current government came to power, the facility has been implemented in 176 hospitals. With this, a total of 70,000 consultations, 20,000 prescriptions and 6,500 lab tests are conducted daily. The health department will soon set up an app for population-based lifestyle diagnosis of 50 lakh people.
