THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Indian Gramotsavam’ organized by the Bharat Bhavan in association with South Zone Cultural Centre and the Public Relations Department (PRD) will begin on Monday. There will be 16 performances by various art forms from the states of Assam, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Jammu Kashmir, Sikkim and Maharashtra. The first performance will be held at 7 pm in the Kollam Ashramam Ground, on Monday. About 130 artists from different states will take part in the Kerala tour of the Gramotsavam in two phases. The Indian Art Society will be honoured by Minister Saji Cherian at Mavelikkara on April 30. The festival will end on May 15 in Thiruvananthapuram.
