KANNUR: The accused in the Karipur gold smuggling case Arjun Ayanki has written a Facebook post against DYFI. 'I may also be compelled to respond when the situation arises where I become a victim of a public trial'. According to his post, those who started this should be held accountable for any political conflicts that may arise following this.

The post also said that the press conference which was scheduled to be held on May 1 has been temporarily abandoned. DYFI activists had alleged that drug trafficking gangs were behind social media posts defaming DYFI leader Manu Thomas.

Following this Arjun Ayanki had posted on Facebook that he would hold a press conference on May 1. This press conference has now been abandoned, as per his recent post.
