THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Indrans has requested to discharge him from the Kerala Chalachithra Academy board. The actor made the request via email to the academy chairman and secretary.

Thank you for considering a person like me in a prestigious institution like the Chalachithra Academy. However, I am working as a part of various films. So when the cast and crew send their work to the committee for award, it is not morally right for me to be part of deciding committee. I don't want their artwork to be rejected because of me, says Indrans in his email.
