THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The deadline for shooting wild pig will be extended for another year from May, said minister Saseendran. The decision of the Central Government not to declare wild pig as a vermin by considering it is an integral part of the habitat is disappointing. That is unacceptable. The people will be relieved if Kerala gets the same permission given to Uttarakhand and Bihar for one year in 2016. Although the Centre has consistently taken a negative stance, the State Government will intervene in the matter as permitted by law, said the minister.
