THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Panel member Alok Verma has sent a letter to the chief secretary proposing conditions for participating in the SilverLine debate. The letter stated that it is not the K-Rail, but the government who should invite the members. The government has broken all preconceptions, he alleged.

‘I decided to participate in the event thinking that it was being organized by the government. However, the invitation was sent by the K-Rail. The language of the invitation letter is objectionable. The government should be in control of the debate’, said the letter.

A technical expert should be the moderator. Verma also expressed dissatisfaction over the exclusion of Joseph C Mathew. There should be a clarity regarding the debate. A decision in the regard should be informed before noon. The decision on whether to attend the debate can be taken only after that, he added.
