KOCHI: Police have registered a case against actor and producer Vijay Babu for allegedly sexually abusing a woman. Ernakulam South police registered the case on a complaint lodged by a Kozhikode resident. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Vijay Babu sexually abused her several times in a flat in Kochi by promising her more opportunities in cinema.

The woman lodged a complaint with the police on April 22. However, police have not questioned Vijay Babu. Police registered the case against Vijay Babu on charges of rape and causing grievous bodily harm.
