THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the wake of rising Covid cases, mask has been made compulsory in the state. Masks should be worn strictly in work and public places from now on. A decision has been taken to impose fine if masks are not worn. The order is in accordance with the Disaster Prevention Act.
Those who don't wear masks in the public will be fined Rs 500. The mask has been made mandatory in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Delhi in recent days in view of the rising number of Covid cases in the country.
