TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and his family have received death threats. The threat was sent to the address of the company where the PM's wife had previously worked. It is not clear who was behind the letter. The letter addressed to the prime minister and his family also contained a live bullet along with a death threat.
Following the incident, Israeli police have beefed up security around the prime minister and his family. The Israeli police and internal security agency have launched a probe into the death threat against the PM and his family.
Responding to the incident, Naftali said on Twitter that political differences should not lead to violence or bloodshed for any reason and that such situations should be avoided as much as possible.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden announced that he may visit Israel within a few months. Biden will be visiting Israel at the invitation of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
