KOCHI: Rajya Sabha MP and Mahila Congress state president Jebi Mather has said that actor and producer Vijay Babu's stance on sexual harassment is a public insult to women.

She responded to this through a news release and blamed Pinarayi government for being irresponsible despite rising rape cases.

Revealing the name of the victim through Facebook Live is an act of aggression against the community. The actor is publicly insulting women. She asked why the government did not release Justice Hema Commission report and did not act on it, despite the demands of the film industry and the general public.

As Nayanar said, the Pinarayi government is sitting idly while women are being harassed like drinking coffee in the country. The failure to take action against harassment within the party is a testament to how the government views such atrocities.

Jebi Mather also alleged that Chief Minister did not respond to the complaint lodged with the state committee against his political secretary.
