THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took action against P C George who had been making hate speeches for a long time. Sudhakaran alleged that the case was taken up only three days after his speech on April 29th.
The government was forced to take action against George for fear of a setback from the court. George was brought in his own vehicle from Erattupetta to the capital city under police protection as part of a precautionary measure favouring the BJP. George has been trying to be in the good books of Pinarayi Vijayan and the RSS. Sudhakaran said BJP leaders and activists were there to greet P C George arrested in the hate speech case.
Meantime, youth league leader P K Firos said the custody of P C George, journey in his own car and his arrest finally are incidents suspected to be a drama. George, who appeared in court under the non-bailable clauses, was granted bail. PC itself said the government lawyer did not utter a word in the court. Firos said that this raises doubts as to whether it was a collusion.
