KOCHI: Maala Parvathi has resigned from the Internal Grievance Redressal Committee of A.M.M.A. The resignation was in protest of the inaction against Vijay Babu, the accused in the sexual assault case. Shweta Menon, chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee, had recommended action against the actor.

The other members of the committee are also angry over the rejection of the recommendation of yesterday's meeting. The decision was taken at the executive meeting of A.M.M.A in Kochi to remove Vijay Babu from the executive committee till the end of the case.

Vijay Babu had written to A.M.M.A and offered to stay away from the executive committee until he is proven innocent. Following this, the decision was taken at the A.M.M.A executive committee meeting held yesterday.
