KOTTAYAM: Janapaksham chairman PC George said that there was no change in his statement made at the Hindu Congress that India should be declared a Hindu nation.

"My position is that all secular parties should unite to oppose any attempt to create anarchy in the country and make India an Islamic state. It would be good if jihadists and Maoists understand the meaning of the word Hindustan," George said.

"During the last election, many, including some terrorist organizations, had challenged and attacked me in Poonjar. There were interventions and financial support, including from foreign countries, behind this. In Poonjar, many of the people from the constituency could not cast their ballots due to intimidation and attempts by the SDPI. The jihadists, who make up less than 20 per cent of the constituency, created communal polarization by misrepresentation and intimidation through fascism," he added.

"Many leaders who said there was love jihad changed their stand within hours for fear of being attacked by Muslim extremists. In a pre-election press conference, the SDPI leader had said that they would rule Kerala in 2031 and India in 2047," George said.
