KOCHI: We were able to make better preparations in Thrikkakkara, said opposition leader V D Satheesan. Uma Thomas was announced as the by-election candidate after consulting with all senior leaders, he said.

“We had begun poll activities in Thrikkakkara, earlier itself. Initially, some were not satisfied, but it was all solved through talks. Sympathy votes have no significance here. We have presented a good candidate”, he said.

“Uma Thomas is a good candidate. She is a person who communicates well with people. Uma Thomas will win with a better majority than P T Thomas”, said V D Satheesan, while talking to a private channel. In the 2021 polls, P T Thomas had won with a majority of 14,392 votes.
